Frequently Asked Questions

Our Meals

What age are the meals suitable for?

Our pots come in two sizes- Small Pots (125g) are best suited for babies between 8 months - 1 year. Our Big Pots are 220g and best suited for toddlers between 1 year - up to 3 or 4 years. However- this really depends on how big your little one’s appetite is and the age recommendation is only a guide on portion size! If your 11 month baby likes a Big Pot- then go ahead!

Can my 7 month baby eat them?

Yes! As long as all of the major allergens have been introduced. Please be aware that all of our meals are textured so your little one might still be getting used to this at this stage.

Can my 9 month baby eat the big pots?

Yes! If they have a big appetite, or you are saving half the pot for another quick and easy meal - there are no reasons why they can’t!

Why frozen?

Nature’s way of preserving food! We don’t use preservatives or heat treatments- so to lock in the flavour and nutrients the natural way - we chill and freeze our meals as soon as they are made. We are also passionate about reducing waste. Freezing makes it easier for you to store and use our meals whenever you need them, without worrying about a short use by date!

Is the packaging recyclable?

Yes, our packaging is 100% recyclable. Our stickers are biodegradable too- so once you have finished with the pot- simply rinse and add to your cardboard recycling.

How long can I keep in the fridge once defrosted?

Once defrosted, meals can be kept refrigerated for two days.

What if I’m unhappy with my order when it arrives?

We really hope you love our meals but if for any reason you are unhappy please send us an email at hello@little-larder.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please ensure to take pictures of the problem you’ve had so that we can get to the bottom of what has happened quicker.

Do our meals contain allergens?

Yes, our meals contain a wide variety of ingredients which include the 14 major allergens- please check the ingredients list for each individual dish. You can find them here: Our Menu
Unless your little one has an allergy, these should be included as part of a healthy diet.

  • Delivery Information

We want to be as open as possible about delivery costs. The reason we freeze our meals at their freshest is to retain their flavour and nutrients the natural way (instead of adding any preservatives or using ultra-heat methods) and to reduce waste, as well as being super easy for you to store and serve at a moment's notice. The downside to this is that in order to deliver your pots in the best condition- the packaging must be fully insulated and be delivered within 24 hours. Unfortunately this isn’t cheap! We are doing everything we possibly can to reduce the cost of this and we promise we do not charge a penny over what we have to (in fact- the delivery cost is more than we charge, but we subsidise this for you).

  • What days do you deliver?

Deliveries are on Tuesday and Friday every week. You will receive a one hour delivery window from DHL on the day of delivery.

  • Do I need to be home to receive my order?

If you’re not going to be home your box will keep your pots frozen until approx. 6pm on the day of delivery so they will be happy in a safe place until then.
